Jeff Fultz Has Rough Race at SpeedFest 2008
Early Problems Equal 33rd Place Finish
In every race, someone always finishes first.  Quite often, that someone is Jeff Fultz.  However, there is always someone who has to finish last as well and this past weekend at Speedfest 2008, that was also Jeff Fultz who had a fast racecar, but encountered bad luck early in the 200-lap event at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Florida.
“The race was a good race,” said Fultz.  “We started in the back and started coming through there and got against somebody and cut a tire, came in and fixed it and got back out, it was really alright. The clutch started slipping so we never really lost the car, it was our first time and we finally just parked it, it wouldn’t engage.”

Fultz was credited with the 33rd and final finishing position in the race.

“Yeah it was a long one, every year it’s pretty tough down there and that was our first one that we thought we would have a good shot at because it was the same car that we ran the [Snowball] Derby, the car was fast, then we struggled a little bit on short runs but the long runs the car was really good. So I think if we could have gotten through that big wreck they

ended up having, I knew we probably didn’t have nothing for the 70 car [race winner Jeff Choquette] and the 31 [runner-up Ryan Lawler] was good. We just weren’t a dominant car, but we were going to be a decent car.  Now we are just kind of getting ready for the Rattler.”

The Rattler at South Alabama Speedway will take place on March 2nd.
